Barcelona makes De Young the most expensive Dutch in history

Barcelona are close to breaking the Dutchman's contract with Ajax Amsterdam's Ferencé de Jong after a long period of negotiations.

The Telegraaf newspaper said Barcelona were outperforming Paris St Germain in the De Jong deal and would bid 90 million euros, with the French team offering only 75 million euros.

Press reports confirmed on Tuesday that Ali Dorson, agent of Ferencé de Young, told Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City that his client would go to Barcelona.

Frinky de Young's deal will make him the most expensive Dutchman in history, ahead of Fergal Van Dick, who moved from Southampton to Liverpool for 84 million euros.
