Celtics sweeping Warriors in the NBA

Gordon Hayward scored 19 out of 30 points in the first half of the night to lead the Boston Celtics to a 128-95 win over the Golden State Warriors, who scored 73 points in the first 24 minutes.

Kyrie Irving scored 19 points and 11 assists with Celtics, who retaliated for a 115-111 defeat to the Warriors in Boston in January.

It was Celtic's first match in a series of four encounters against teams from the Western Division after losing five of their previous six matches.

The win is Celtic's second-biggest win of the season. The Celtics won the Chicago Bulls' 133-77 win in December.

Steven Corrie scored 23 points with Warriors, who suffered their fifth defeat at home this season by 20 points or more. The Warriors, without Clay Thompson, was absent for the second consecutive game due to pain in the right knee.

Hayward has managed four of his six attempts to score three-pointers on his way to equalize the largest score of points in one game this season.

Gailen Brown added 18 points and Jason Tatum 17 for Boston, who lost their last three away games.

The win is the second only to the Celtic in six encounters against teams from the Pacific Group this season.

Kevin Durrant scored 18 points and Dimarkos Kazines scored 10 points and nine rebounds with the Warriors' 120-117 win over the Philadelphia Seveners on Saturday.
