Russell Westbrook, the Oklahoma City Thunder player, scored his record with three double digits for the 11th consecutive game, but that did not stop his side's 131-122 defeat by New Orleans Blikans in the NBA last night.
The defeat halted the series of Thunder's victories in four consecutive games with the start of the all-star match holiday.
He is third in the Western Division with 37 wins in 57 games, with Blikans in 13th place in the West after winning 26 to 33 defeats.
Westbrook scored 44 points, 14 rebounds and 11 assists.
Thunder's former record-breaking Wilt Chamberlain broke three double figures in nine consecutive games when he led the team to the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday.
Paul George scored 28 points for Thander but managed 3 out of 17 triple attempts.
Julius Randell scored 33 points for the Pelikans and grabbed 11 rebounds and Grew Holiday added 32 points.
Anthony Davies, who had asked for the departure of Blikans, was released but the team did not reach an agreement with any competitor before the transfer window closed on February 7 in the second quarter due to injury, after scoring 14 points in 16 minutes.
Elsewhere, Orlando Magic put an end to their defeats to the Charlotte Hornets and crushed their home side (127-89), while the New York Knicks finished their victories since January 4 by beating 106-91 at Atlanta Hawks.
